Google Panda is a change to Google’s search result. It is an update aimed to reward its dedicated end users globally with good, relevant and specific content. It is an incentive to Entrepreneurs, Business or any website owners whose sites are relevant, jargon-free, have high quality and original content. Simultaneously it’s a dedicated effort by Google to punish the copied, fabricated, redundant and duplicate content across websites.

The launch of Google Panda had its own unique challenges. There was a lot of debate in the year 2011-2012 about the alteration at Google, which all alluded to as Panda. The Panda truly created a buzz in the SEO group and everyone appeared to have a viewpoint, perspective and repulsive portray of the Panda attacking them. However, that was true. If anything it was Google’s way to award Uniqueness!

Google’s Specific Demand:

Google was clear with its objective behind the launch of Google Panda. Originality, quality, clarity was all that it needed! Google wanted to send the message that people should not try to jerk it with misconception, misconceived and terminated data. This was a conscious effort from Google as this made them stand out from rival search engines. It made them different and made them get noticed!

Good quality content has been its mantra throughout. This is evident from the fact that Google introduced “Quality Score” for Adwords campaign a few years back. This was done solely to evaluate the quality of sites that were using paid Adwords platforms. Google came up with quality scores to ensure users clicking on ads were of excellent quality. True to its commitment of giving good experience and informative contents to its users, Google raised the agenda of quality control.

With this quality initiative from Google, the rumours started doing round and one such rumour that trapped SEO promoters was that the site owners were getting their account hit with low-quality scores from Google Adwords. This prompted them to start paying high rates for clicks, thereby impacting their revenue margins. The situation turned worse and numerous people had to face nastiest scenarios of accounts being shut down permanently. This happened to the vast majority of affiliates.

So What Now? What is the Solution?

The solution to these rumours was simple – Stop listening and Start acting. Any innovation comes with its own set of challenges. However, this was different. It did produce challenges but to those who followed uncanny and unethical means of setting websites. The introduction of Google Panda thus did no damage but helped lots of high-quality sites get more noticed, made them stand out from the crowd and proved extremely beneficial to their business. It brought the focus back on SEO, especially on-page SEO from a quality point of view.

Emphasize on Quality Content:

Special emphasize was put on content quality. The clear indicators of quality are appropriately written, grammatically correct and unique content. Make sure that content should be unique, precise and informative rather than merely churning out contents from the sales point of view. You should avoid only sales content because it is considered to be low quality. Such things are easily noted in Google and quality control will filter it out or assign it low ranking.

Here are some tips when considering content for your site:

Blog comments: It is essential to have blog comments because it is the best way to interact with readers and stay connected to them. If your blog is not interactive, informative or catchy then there is little chance of any comment and hence people need to be thoughtful towards their blog. In short, it is a good form of interaction with readers. It keeps them engaged!

Social links: Social media is the most pivotal way to reach your audience and stay connected with them for longer. Sites should have social link buttons to their websites which helps users to read and get connected through social media.

Low ad to the content ratio: Too many ads in a website indicate low quality hence make sure that website should not have too many ads placed. Ads can be in many forms such as AdSense, banners, affiliate links etc. Again just keep in mind, not to go overboard with affiliate links. It is obvious that fewer affiliate links will diminish conversion rate but it could be worse to lose your ranking when you get hit with the low-quality score and then your conversions are zero. So be careful!

Important pages: Assure that you have important pages such as contact, privacy, disclaimer etc. pages that have high-quality sites on them. It is an indicator to Google that you are serious and care about sites.
